The Italian seminary, held by Hamot and Deschamps Senseis, was born in 2006 as a result of a strong need of growth experienced by the Italian students and, even nowadays, very much alive in us all.
The event, now in its third this year, has been strongly desired by Shisei Association, to enable all its students, and not them alone, to experience the true essence of NAGINATA, under the invaluable guidance and care of only two Europeans Renshi.
Until now, thanks to the valuable contribution the Senseis were able to give to the Italian movement, new students have approached the discipline and new dojos have joined in organizing an event that has been abandoned as a strictly associative, to become an appointment in a position to engage the students on a large part of the national territory.
Thanks to the contribution of associations Shingen, Mori no Kai and Musokan Kendo Club, not just this time but throughout the entire period of time devoted to the practice of this discipline, it is now possible to offer students the Italian first NAGINATA FOUR DOJOS SEMINARY, which will develop in the citys of Fano, Imola, Turin and Venice and will allow all students to study for a whole week this discipline, under the guidance of Senseis.
The event, in addition to its main objective to spread the knowledge of NAGINATA at high levels, is on the search for moments of aggregation among the students, old and new, in order to raise the general level of practice but also to strengthen the friendship between dojo already closely linked with each other.
This site was created by the need, first, to present the protagonists of this important experience - the Sensei that for years we entrust our growth and practitioners, without whom there would be no opportunity for growth - but also to present the wonderful locations in which will be our training and the beauty that you will see in moments of rest.
The Four Dojos Seminary will end, as in the best traditions, with a tournament open to all students, the first Italian Simone Charton Trophy, which takes its name from a key figure for the whole European NAGINATA, to whom all of us can only think with gratitude and admiration, in the hope of being able to contribute in our small, the work of spreading she started.
Special thanks should, therefore, be addressed to all those who, in recent years have made possible the development and the knowledge of NAGINATA in Italy, the Masters, the CIK, the associations that relate to it and all those who, personally, it are allowed to involve in this wonderful adventure.
The journey goes on.
